Noctally
Privacy Policy

Noctally is published on the Apple App Store by Dalila Oussama. This policy applies only to Noctally. Email support@myzalife.com with a privacy question or request.
The short version
- Noctally requires no account and has no advertising, tracking or analytics SDK.
- Overnight audio, sound labels, notes and history are processed and stored on your iPhone.
- Noctally does not send recordings or sound labels to us or to a developer server.
- Apple processes purchases. A PDF report leaves Noctally only when you choose to export and share it.
Microphone and overnight recordings
Noctally uses the microphone only after you tap Start Recording. Its audio background mode lets that session continue while the screen is locked. A visible recording screen and the system microphone indicator show when recording is active, and you can stop at any time.
Apple's on-device Sound Analysis technology estimates which short portions may contain snoring, speech or another sound. Labels can be wrong. Noctally keeps the recording segments needed for saved moments and shows interruptions as gaps. You can replay, relabel or delete saved moments.
Information stored on your device
Noctally stores session dates and duration, recording-coverage gaps, estimated labels, relative loudness, optional routine tags and notes, and retained audio clips in its private app container. We cannot access this information. You can delete one clip, one night or all saved nights in the app. Deleting Noctally removes its local app data.
Your Apple device-backup settings may include app data in an encrypted device or iCloud backup controlled by Apple and by you. Noctally itself does not provide cloud sync.
Exports
A PDF report leaves Noctally only after you invoke Apple's share sheet and pick a destination. That destination's own privacy policy and your sharing choices then apply.
Purchases
Noctally uses Apple's StoreKit directly and does not use RevenueCat or another purchase service. Apple processes payments and provides the app with a verified entitlement so it can unlock Pro. We do not receive your card details. Apple's privacy policy is available at apple.com/legal/privacy.
Support messages and Apple diagnostics
If you email support, we receive your email address, message and anything you attach. We use it only to answer you and keep it only as long as reasonably needed for support or a legal obligation.
If you separately choose to share analytics with app developers in your Apple device settings, Apple may provide anonymous or aggregated crash and diagnostic reports. Noctally contains no third-party crash-reporting SDK.
Other people and recording laws
Overnight audio may capture another person's voice. Obtain consent from anyone nearby and follow the recording laws where you live. Do not use Noctally to record people secretly.
Health information
Noctally is a personal audio journal for general wellness. It is not a medical device, does not use HealthKit, and does not diagnose, treat, prevent or monitor a medical condition. Consult a qualified healthcare professional if you are concerned about sleep or breathing.
Children
Noctally is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age set by local law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Security and changes
Noctally relies on the security and encryption of your Apple device and uses iOS file protection for its local records. No storage system is completely secure. If this policy changes, the effective date above will change before the revised policy applies.
